An OT evaluation is used to gain a deep and thorough understanding of your child's developmental skills in areas such as fine motor, visual motor, motor planning, and sensory processing. This is typically required prior to treatment, and allows the OT to identify and measure skill strengths and weaknesses.
Your OT will then customize a treatment plan based on the assessment and your goals for your child. Your child's evaluation can be used by you and your OT as a baseline to measure progress throughout your personalized treatment program.
